Vintage 1950s Hat H.C. PRANGE Co. Millinery Green Velvet 。This is a truly unique hate from the \"mod\" 1960s\'! The hat is made of luxurious velour or \"fur\" felt. The round crown is surrounded by an asymmetrical upturned brim which is bent so it has a pointy shape towards the front. The brim tapers down towards the back. The edges of the brim are enhanced with navy vinyl, which was the fashion of the era. At the back, the brim extends into 2 strips which criss-cross. One of the strips ends in a \"flower\" made of the same vinyl as the edges. The vinyl\'s back side is black, which is why the flower is interestingly navy and black. Mod hats in the 1960s were bold, structured, and used to make a fashion statement rather than for modesty or warmth. Key styles included women\'s bucket hats, pillbox hats, and cloches, alongside men\'s Greek fisherman caps and pork pie hats.The mod (Modernist) movement revolutionized youth culture. Instead of treating hats as traditional, everyday requirements, mods wore them to extend the impact of their outfits.
