Edelle 1940s Vintage Bird of Paradise Feather Trim Beige 。This is a showstopper taupe felt hat from the fabulous 1940s\'! The style is like a top hat. The crown is cylindrical and tall, and has an indentation at the top. The upturned brim is short and tapers down towards the back, where is ends in a point. There is a coordinating color half veil attached. The magnificent feature of this hat are the extraordinary brown and ivory colored feathers. There are tall feathers that curl towards the back, plus an array of curly feathers in the same colors attached to the side of the tall feathers. An elastic band is attached to the inside of the hat to keep the hat in a tilted position.. Tilt hats were popular in the 1930s and 1940s. They were worn at an angle and held to the back of the head by a strap, rigid ring, elastic band beneath the hair, an extended cap, or a combination of these. 30s Fashion certainly seemed fussier than the 1920s with its relentless ornaments of bows, trims and frills.
